After Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, comes Sense and Sensibility and Sea-Monsters.
What, you don't believe me? (PPZ has been haunting the best seller lists...)
Look.
And here I've been making jokes about how there may be the bonking line in vampire fiction (dividing what's possible for a school library and what's less possible), but hey, nobody's writing books about giant squid that give the bonking line the least tremor. Hoist by my own petard.
But wait, there's more:

And have you seen "Zombie Haiku"? I blogged Year 7's reaction, plus the trailer, here. I foresee a whole new interest in mashing up classic literature! (ps have tried P&P&Z - I fear I'm a purist, so even though I appreciate the humour of the contrasts, it's not on my alltime favourites list like the original)
Hey Ruth,
I ran across your blog and saw that you mentioned both "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" and "Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters." I know the Jane Austen/Sci-fi mash up seems off-the-wall, but everybody seems to like it. I work for the publisher, which, of course, makes my opinion a bit bias, but I hope you get to read both, because I think you'll love them.
Since you're obviously into books, I was wondering if you wanted to receive info and updates about the Quirk Classics series. If you do, just send us an email at QuirkClassics@gmail.com. If not, that's fine too.
FYI: We’re announcing a new title in the series at the end of the month, so you might want to stay tuned for a message about Quirk Classic #3.
Thanks for talking about our books, and happy reading!
